Today’s Community Church (TCC) is a growing, multi generational church in Wigan who seek to serve the town and help its people to find their way back into a relationship with God; with this in mind, they came to iKnow Church looking for a better way to connect with people.
As a church who are pursuing a thriving sense of community, we asked the team at TCC how they felt iKnow played a part in creating lasting relationships within the church; project manager and database administrator, Michele Nel, told us that for her “it is about having the ability to easily communicate with people readily at hand”. iKnow gives leaders the ability to easily group people together and then communicate with that specific group either via email or by text, within the iKnow system itself.
These groupings serve a dual purpose in iKnow, not only does it provide the church with an easy method to connect with and contact people, but it can provide insights into the spiritual health of members by following markers and milestones in their journey with God.
In conversation about how iKnow has been helping TCC’s vision to be a growing community, Ben Tarbuck, a member of the leadership team, spoke about this particular journey marking aspect of the system: “The Circles tool in iKnow has helped us to categorise people in our system, helping us to observe where somebody is at in their journey with God, and then being able to move them onto the right paths that will deepen their walk of faith”.
