August 2025 Updates

This month has been a bumper month for releases for iKnow Church and we are pleased to announce the following updates being rolled out over August 2025 to all iKnow Church users.

To Do lists and Processes

Processes are an ideal way to setup reminders and follow-ups and have been in iKnow Church for over 10 years. Now you can set tasks as in progress.

Safeguarding

We continue to get positive feedback from churches using the Safeguarding tools released in 2024. This month there have been a number of additions to the Safeguarding module.

Process and Todo  lists

We've added new tools to help you keep track of Concerns and Checks with automatic reminders and todo lists.  The Account Safeguarding Lead for your church will now see a new Processes tab within Safeguarding > Settings where they will be able to see these up.

Each Process can have a todo list of tasks with each task following the previous one. You will be able set delays between each steps.

Each Safeguarding User will then have their own todo list page which shows any tasks currently in progress or needing to be actioned which have been assigned to them. Once a task is marked as finished, it will show as complete within the concern along with any notes added by the Safeguarding user.

How processes could be used:

  • when a new concern is submitted
  • when a concern is raised via the iKnow website embed/ QR code
  • to start a process for a particular type of concern

If you are an iKnow Church with multiple locations then you will be able to setup Processes for each location ensuring that their is a standard series of steps across your organisation.

Concern Types

It is now possible to add Concern Types (such as Domestic Abuse, Neglect, Financial Abuse) so that concerns can be further categorised.  Like the rest of iKnow Church we have made this as customisable as possible so that you can add as many Concern Types as required. These will then show when adding/editing and viewing a Concern.

These can be setup by going to Safeguarding > Settings > Options.

Account Safeguarding Lead Concerns

The safeguarding module has an advanced permission control which is used by single site churches through to Christian organisations with 100s of users and 100s of locations. For organisations that have Safeguarding Users as well as Account Safeguarding Leads, it is now possible for an Account Safeguarding Lead to add a Concern that is only accessible by them and any other Account Safeguarding Leads.

DBS Update Services

For organisation in England and Wales that use the DBS Update Service, the Certificate Renewal will not show for any Applicants that have given their consent for the DBS Update Service.

Minor Updates

Rota Header - we fixed an issue which caused the header of the rotas to be misaligned in some circumstances.

Calendar - additional button at the top of the calendar for adding an event (you no longer need to go directly to the date to add an event)

My Area - it now shows your profile picture when you go to your dropdown at the top right of the page
