We’ve all, at one point or another, changed our contact number or address and there’s been someone or something we’ve either forgotten to update, or have just put it off. It’s easily done! But it goes without saying that this isn’t ideal for either party!

A Christian is called to discipleship which includes getting involved in the life of the Church, building authentic relationships with other believers and exercising gifts of ministry and service. These require us to be accessible in and outside of the Church building.

Keeping our records up to date is a benefit to the Church in more ways than one. They help us to be able to reach out to people and be reachable, keep people up to date with Church events, newsletters and resources, and feel included by being connected to name but a few.

The People Module

The People Module in iKnow can help with this. Anyone with a profile can easily update it with just a few clicks, whilst at the same time confirming how they’re comfortable being contacted. It means not one single person has to update the whole system. The entire Church directory is available in your pocket and the body is connected.

With it being so quick and easy to update our details, all it takes is a mention at a Members Meeting for it to be brought to mind. Alternatively, if you have a custom Mobile App with iKnow, you can send a push notification every 3-6 months as a reminder to check details are up to date.

This will help your Church with rotas, groups, teams and general communication, ensuring all necessary parties are kept in the loop, as we seek to, “Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God.” (1 Peter 2:17)
