How To Create An iKnow Icon For Your Computer

To make accessing your churches iKnow account rather than memorising the URL, we have come up with a way for you to have it saved as an icon on your desktop. Here is a simple step-by-step guide on how.

Step One:

Go to your iKnow Church login page and then highlight the URL and then drag it onto your desktop. This will then generate an icon based off of the web browser you are using.

Step Two:

Use our iKnow logo or use your churches logo and open it in an image view. (Make sure your image is square, otherwise it will be stretched).

Step Three:

Press ‘Command’ and ‘C’ or go to the edit tab at the top of your page and select ‘copy’.

Step Four:

On a Mac: Right click on the URL icon that you dragged onto your desktop and select ‘Get info’.
On a PC: Right click on the URL icon and select 'Properties'.

Step Five:

On a Mac: Click on the current icon and press ‘Command’ and ‘V’.

On a PC: select 'Change Icon' in the 'Shortcut' tab.

Step Six:

On a Mac: Once you click ‘x’ to close the tab, you should have the new logo as the icon.

On a PC: Select 'Browse Icons' and select the image you would like to use. Press 'Open' and then select 'OK'.

Step Seven:

Mac and PC: Right click on the writing under your icon and click on ‘Rename’.

Step Eight:

Finally, type in ‘iKnow Church’ or your church name.
