The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is coming into force in the UK on the 25th May 2018 and will affect how organisations including churches use and store personal data.

The Regulation is designed to give individuals more rights on how an organisation may use their data and every organisation in the EU has to comply with these regulations.

As the UK’s leading Church software company, we have been planning for GDPR for a while now and have tools within iKnow Church to help our churches ensure compliance with this legislation.

While many churches are aware of these data changes, we have had lots of conversations with churches who are still not completely au fait with the new legislation.

This regulation is a new legal framework from the European Union and won’t be affected by the UK leaving the EU. Rest assured that we are working to develop tools within iKnow so that churches can work towards full compliance.

Browse through the different sections on the left to find out more about GDPR and what your church needs to do.

We are also running a number of webinars on GDPR for churches over the next few months.
